For the last several years, the National Walk for Epilepsy has raised awareness of epilepsy and funds for epilepsy research throughout the country. Walkers gather on the National Mall in Washington, DC and in their local communities to highlight the challenges faced by people with epilepsy and to make the public aware of the Epilepsy Foundation. Those who are unable to walk can still join by signing up as "virtual walkers"!

To Register for the Walk

In Illinois

Go here
Choose "Register Today"
Choose "Join a Team"
Click In the box that says "Team Company".
Choose Epilepsy Foundation North/Central IL/IA/NE from the Company Name pulldown list.
Click in the box that says "Team Name".
Choose "EFNCIL Rockford Walkers" OR "Quad City Walkers" from the list.
Click on "Join Team" on the next page and proceed with your registration

In Nebraska

Go here
Choose "Register Today"
Choose "Join a Team"
Click In the box that says "Team Company".
Choose Epilepsy Foundation North/Central IL/IA/NE from the Company Name pulldown list.
Click in the box that says "Team Name".
Choose either "Nebraskans Advocating for Epilepsy-Omaha" or "Nebraskans Advocating for Epilepsy-Lincoln" from the list
Click on "Join Team" on the next page and proceed with your registration

In Iowa

The Iowa walk will be held in August and will have a separate registration process. Go here for more information.
